The Things I Have Been Learning Since I Was 25 In Ministry, Till Date Are Far Above All I Ever Knew When I Turned 25 In Ministry – Bishop David Oyedepo

THE THINGS I’VE BEEN LEARNING SINCE I WAS 25 IN MINISTRY, TILL DATE ARE FAR ABOVE ALL I EVER KNEW WHEN I TURNED 25 IN MINISTRY.

THERE IS NO FINISH LINE IN THE SCHOOL OF WISDOM; YOU JUST KEEP GROWING IN IT WITH A MEEK SPIRIT.

THE GRACE OF GOD IS TRANSFERABLE AND IT USUALLY FLOWS FROM A HIGHER SOURCE.

THE GRACE FOR SUPERNATURAL CHURCH GROWTH CAME THROUGH YONGGI CHO INTO MY LIFE SINCE 1985. HE WENT TO HEAVEN THIS YEAR BUT HIS IMPACT IS STILL HERE.

THE GRACE FOR ACCESS TO KINGDOM PROSPERITY CAME FROM KENNETH COPELAND

MY UNSHAKABLE AUTHORITY OVER PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS CAME THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF SMITH WIGGLESWORTH.

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING SOMEWHERE THAT IS ORDAINED BY GOD TO ADD COLOUR TO YOUR LIFE AND MY LIFE. LOOK FOR IT!

YOU ALWAYS GET MORE THAN YOUR SOURCE WHEN YOU GENUINELY CONNECT AND REMAIN CONNECTED

IF A NEIGHBOURING MINISTRY IS FLOURISHING ENJOY IT. IF THEY ARE HAVING CHALLENGES DON’T REJOICE. STEP IN (IN) ANY WAY YOU CAN.

-Bishop David Oyedepo at Kingdom Power and Glory World Conference
Evening Session.
Day 2.

We must remain committed to a lifestyle of meekness before the Lord. “Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, that in due time, He may exalt you”. There are some who are going through some challenges, it is not unscriptural to be challenged, but it is unscriptural to be defeated. It is anti-covenant to be defeated. Whatever is born of God is born to overcome the world and we overcome by faith and faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word in the area of your challenges. So, you don’t hang around and wait for it to happen. No! Changes don’t occur on their own. They are made to occur.

  1. BE COMMITTED TO BUILDING YOUR FAITH.

It is a principal channel for the flow of grace. We are saved by grace through faith. Let’s build our faith. Let’s turn our plastic pipes into steel pipes. Let’s rescue our pipes from being destroyed by those who are cultivating their farms. You can’t cut a steel – strong faith and we all know that faith is in levels. There is little faith, there is great faith, there is very great faith and there is exceeding great faith. So faith is in degrees and the more of the Word we imbibe, the stronger our faith becomes and the greater the flow of grace. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The second hearing is understanding, understanding the Word of God.

The Ethiopian Eunuch was reading the scripture but he didn’t understand it and Philip joined that chariot, “do you understand what you are reading?” “How can I, except someone guides me?” and when his understanding opened, he said this is water, can I be baptized?. He stepped out of darkness into light. Faith is hearing and understanding the Word. I read the materials of Kenneth Copeland and his wife, I’ve read that 4 times but I’ve not seen what I saw working in them. So, I went out to go and find out: “show me. I’ve heard it, I’ve read it but now, show me what it is”. And then light sprang up and changed the course of my life forever.

We read until we understand. We listen until it is done. It is not just hearing and walking away and then clapping. You must get to the point of understanding it.

  1. BE COMMITTED TO A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYER.

“Let us come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). God’s throne is the throne of grace. You have not, because you ask not. “This is a task you have given me, I need your grace to see me through. I can’t do it without you”. Let’s engage the altar of grace for the release of grace. Let’s stay committed to it. We need His help all the time. “Send us help oh God, for vain is the help of man. Man’s help is limited”.

  1. Be committed to a tireless and fruitful stewardship lifestyle. Serving God increases His grace on our lives. (1 Corinthians 15:10). Among the graces we encounter in serving is (Exodus 23:25-26), grace of supply, healing, health and wholeness. The grace for longevity is in our spiritual stewardship. You want to grow in grace, then engage your little strength and let me engage my little strength in serving the interest of the Kingdom on earth and no matter where we are, God sees us (2 Chronicles 16:9). Let’s keep engaging. (Proverbs 11:30, Proverbs 3:35). When we walk in the wisdom of God, particularly in the area of the pursuit of souls which is God’s number one interest on the earth, we just grow in grace. When we are not doing that to be seen by people or commended by people but doing it unto God from the depth of our hearts with a right motive, then we grow and develop in grace.
  2. BE COMMITTED IN GROWING YOUR LOVE FOR GOD

We must be committed in growing our love for God (Romans 8:35). We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, so the hotter our love for God, the greater His grace on our lives (Ephesians 3:17-19).

So, as we grow in love, we begin to increase our divine content until we are filled with all the fullness of God who is the God of all grace. All areas of our lives just keep experiencing the overflowing grace of God. As we keep growing our love for God, greater grace begins to manifest in our lives.
Let’s stay committed to it (Matthew 6:33, Matthew 22:36-40). There is no great man in the Kingdom, it is the backing of the great God that makes ordinary men do great. We are not living in a world of accomplishment! we are living in a world of engracement. We are not achievers, we are just ordinary people given grace by God.

When you see your life as a product of God’s multifaceted grace, you will be humble and celebrate Him forever and keep appreciating Him forever. Grace is the maker of all men in the Kingdom.

  • You shall be made in the name of Jesus Christ!
  1. BE COMMITTED TO A LIFESTYLE OF DELIGHTSOME OBEDIENCE TO EVERY DIVINE INSTRUCTION.

God speaks to us at all times in our devotions and meditation. He gives instructions, most of them, we just throw aside but grace grows with obedience. We enjoyed some dimensions of grace when we were in Ilorin (at inception of Living Faith Church) and God was blessing us, we give Him glory for it. Then he said; “Now arise and get down to Kaduna” and we moved and saw greater grace and then, when we thought God has settled us and thank God for what He is doing there. He said, “Arise and get down to Lagos”. He knew I hated Lagos inside, out. Then, another dimension of grace came down. Grace answers to obedience.

John 5:30. Obedience was Jesus’ anchor on earth. I had the worst temptation of my life to move to Ota, my God! But grace came down, unusual grace came down and unusual things began to happen and then now, “Move to Ota and don’t open, no church in Lagos. Shut down this building I built.” He built it and I heard Him. I am not a fool. Everybody wants to see the work he does preserved. So we shut down the Church and moved to that forest. First Sunday, I asked everybody to come to one place, there’s no point scattering yourself. Then I told them, we will soon start 2 services here. How do we fill the first, to start 2 services? Unusual grace came. Obedience will always attract more grace. Let’s settle down and obey God.

Can I tell why many of us are now out of touch with instructions? The last one He gave you; you didn’t do it and it is one instruction after another. When you stop obeying, He stops instructing you. Now listen, Jesus came down to Peter, “move your boat a little. I want to preach”. Yes Sir.
He came out, “follow me and I will make you fishers of men”. He stood up immediately. Every instruction you obey, brings you the next. You obey the next, you have access to the next and every act of obedience changes our levels. Let’s open up to a lifestyle of delightsome obedience. Not obedience by coercion (Psalm 112:4-5). When you are following His instructions to the letter, you are indestructible.

  • I curse every activity of the spirit of disobedience in anyone of us!

Just simply say sorry to your spouse will kill the crisis. But here is somebody, he saw it, God speaks to him. He said, “no. We don’t say that in my family. A man who says sorry to his wife has finished his life”. Okay, where is that written? A lifestyle of delightsome obedience will always bring us into higher dimensions of grace.

  1. BE COMMITTED TO MAINTAINING A GOOD CONSCIENCE AT ALL TIMES

Paul brought to light a lot on the subject of conscience. We can short circuit the flow of grace for lack of a good conscience (1 Timothy 1:19). You are deceiving somebody: you know you are deceiving somebody, inside you, you know. It doesn’t work (2 Corinthians 1:12; 2 Corinthians 4:1-2). Anyone without a good conscience is headed for a crash. Acts 4:16

  • Again, my prayer is that no one here will suffer a crash in his walk with God!
  1. BE COMMITTED TO A LIFESTYLE OF GIVING.

Giving is the secret behind the grace of our abundance. Giving requires grace to engage with it continuously and tirelessly. I want you to understand the grace of God upon the Church in Macedonia (2 Corinthians 8:1-7). We cannot experience the grace of abundance without engaging the giving grace (2 Corinthians 9:6).

Be committed to a lifestyle of giving cheerfully, joyfully, excitedly. You are provoking the release of the grace for supernatural abundance. Having sufficiency in all things.

  • May you never lose your place to anyone!

So in your various churches, ensure that you are not doing it as if you are helping the Church. You are building your access into the realm of the grace of abundance. The Lord told and said, “my prosperity plan is not a promise so it does not answer to prayer. It has no respect for fasting. It is a covenant. Until your part is played, I am not committed”.

  • I see unusual grace for wealth coming upon the end time church and coming into your house! (Psalm 112:3).
  • I release everyone here into that realm of abundance!
  • Receive it in the name of Jesus!
  1. BE COMMITTED TO A LIFESTYLE OF JOY AND REJOICING TO KEEP THE GRACE FLOWING

Deuteronomy 28:47-48.

Obeying God is not enough, serving God is not enough. We are required to keep serving God with joyfulness and gladness of heart so the blessing that should come will not be turned to a curse.
Joel 1:12.

  • Rejoice evermore. It is the dawning of a new day for you!

Where our joy ends is where our harvest is lost. Let’s connect and the grace of God will be available to help us all the way.

  1. EVERY CHANGE OF LEVEL IN OUR WALK WITH GOD MUST BE PROMPTLY ACKNOWLEDGED TO AVOID A CRASH

Jeremiah 13:15-17
Prompt response to every manifestation of grace you experience in your life. You are not just talking with the tip of your tongue; it is from the depth of your heart (Malachi 2:2-3)

  • No one here shall suffer a crash! Psalm 28:5
The grace of God is transferable and it usually flows from a higher source. The grace of God is transferable and without all contradiction, the less is blessed of the better (Hebrews 7:7-8).
Water never flows uphill; water usually flows downhill. This is the problem with the generation of believers today; a lot of pride and arrogance. Many can’t find any worthy example around them. Many don’t have anyone qualified to lay hands on them. No! Grace is transferrable (Philippines 1:7, Romans 1:11) but it usually flows from higher vessels to lower ones.

REVELATION: The free flow of revelation that I have been privileged to enjoy to this little level came through grace that rested upon Kenneth E. Hagin. I knew when it came, I knew what it began to do in my life from that 1986 to the glory of God. It always flows from higher vessels to those who believe they are not at their level yet.

PROSPERITY: The grace for access to Kingdom prosperity to this little level we are enjoying today came from the grace upon Kenneth Copeland, life and direct. No guess work. Grace usually flows from higher vessels to others.

CHURCH GROWTH: The grace for supernatural church growth came through Yonggi Cho into my life since 1985, I began studying him and his work. He went to Heaven this year but his impact is still here. All of these things should help us to reach out to every available channel to connect with any grace we truly desire and covet. He said to us, covet earnestly the best gift.

SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY: My unshakable authority over principalities and powers came through the ministry of Smith Wigglesworth. Far above impartation – life. There is always something somewhere that is ordained of God to add colour to your life and my life. Look for it. There is always something somewhere in some vessels, somewhere around you, far away from you that you truly desire, go for it. It always works.

To my beloved son in the Gospel. This is nothing but just the beginning of new dimensions of manifestation in your life.

  • May you flow in the light unveiled through this short message tonight into higher realms of manifestation!

Now, you are 25. I think I am 21. The things I’ve been learning since I was 25 in ministry till date are far above all I ever knew when I turned 25 in ministry. There is no finish line in the school of wisdom; you just keep growing in it and with a meek spirit, you keep accessing more and more inside, day and night as you study. Let him that thinks knows anything know that he does not know anything yet as he ought to know.

  • Again, my prayer is that you are just stepping into a new phase of your ministry and my prayer is that, you’ll never experience a setback all your life!

1981, I caught this light from Proverbs 4:18, the part of the just is as the shinning light, that shineth more and more and I said to myself in that room, I am not prepared for a better yesterday till I go to Heaven and God has kept His word and the little faith of a little child hitherto. We have never recorded a better last year in our ministry. Now, watch and look up here; you will never record a better last year in your ministry.

For all our friends and co-labourers that are in this service tonight, Pastors, Evangelists, you will never experience again, a better last year in your ministry!

Great things have happened till date but greater things will keep happening year in, year out.Church Gist. You have seen some great grace but grace will keep getting greater and greater all your life year in and year out in the name of Jesus.

Let me tell you the joy of it, when you truly connect to any higher grace, you will always go to exceed where the other grace stops because that grace is now added to your grace. There is some grace in you, so you have now tapped to another grace. That one is now added to the one you have, so you have a way of experiencing more than they did. That’s the blessing of it. One of my mentors said, ‘don’t say I taught you this’. You got more from me than I got. You always get more than your source when you genuinely connect and remain connected. You don’t have a spare life, don’t ever allow the one you have get wasted. Treasure it, hold tight to it. Let your eyes be straight before you, you are going somewhere.

I’ve never seen anybody running a race and then addressing those who are insulting him. Keep going and wishing everybody else well. Maintain goodwill at all time. Don’t wish that somebody crash or fall. Maintain goodwill as a way of life. These are things I should tell you in the room. I think I should stop here.

You have a neighboring ministry that is flourishing, enjoy it. Glory to God. If they are having challenges, don’t rejoice. Step-in in whatever way you can step in and by so doing, you are just enjoying grace.

  • My prayer is that, this event marks the beginning of a new phase of grace in everyone’s life.

Lift up your two hands everybody and give God thanks.

Now, our adventure in grace begins with the grace for salvation. The dead does not need grace, only the living desires grace and grace for salvation brings us out of the grave back to life (Titus 2:12).
