Pastor WF Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church spoke during the worship service at the ongoing Divine Touch crusade at Enugu, Nigeria. He spoke about “Power for your Hour Through Your Divine Touch” and emphasized on the story of Jezebel and Elijah. In his second point, The man of God spoke about “The Uncommon Food and Drink From The Divine Restorer” and he read from the book of 1 Kings 19:5-6 which says:
“And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.”
Elijah was afraid after Jezebel promised to kill him if she finds him. He ran into a cave and prayed to God to take his life. He said that out of fear and was not aware that God has a greater plan for him. However, the Lord send an Angel to bring him food and provided him water. Elijah ate and was strengthened and he went 40 days without eating.
The man of God revealed that there is a restaurant in heaven. Heaven cooked for Elijah and the restaurant is meant only for the favourites of God. He said that when they are hungry, thirsty, discouraged, downtrodden and feeling that the food on earth is not giving them strength, the food of heaven will be sent to them. Just like he gave manna to the children of Israel, he did likewise to Prophet Elijah.
In conclusion, while eating the physical food, we should ensure we feed ourselves with the spiritual food because it is what we need to make it to the end.
