“There was a day I was walking on the street, and a mad man began to approach me, and this shocking thing happened” – Bishop David Oyedepo Reveals

Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed an encounter he had one day with a mad man. He gave this story during the Covenant Hour Of Prayer meeting today. The point of his story was to emphasize the fact that Christians have authority over the powers of darkness.

He narrated that there was a day he was walking on the street, and a mad man began to approach him. He said that as he saw the mad man come towards him, he told God that if the mad man lays a hand on him, he would tear his Bible. After he said that, the mad man came to him, and he rebuked the mad man. The demon inside the man was dominated.

“I did not even have to say ‘In Jesus Name’, the Bishop said. “As soon as I rebuked him, the demon inside him just ran away.”

I’m guessing the Bishop’s extreme statement was to prove the truth in the scriptures. You see, in the Bible, our authority over satanic forces is evident. The Bishop was just testing whether or not the word is true, and he saw that the word of God can never return to him void.
