General overseer of Living Faith Bishop David Oyedepo has shared the risk on prosperity.

I was doing a paper on The Risk of Prosperity. You don’t know how to take it, it can tear anybody. It can tear anybody just because of the 10-10 kobo that you have. God is not looking for your money, He gave it to you in the first instance. Just a little position that God gave to you to test you for the higher thing He has for you in future.
Prayer stops, reading the Bible stops, the fear of God stops, please stay on. What has helped your church till now is that we have stayed on, no distractions. God, you are the reason we are here. God, it is your purpose we are serving. Just stay on, tomorrow is bright and it will keep getting brighter and brighter.
Don’t root yourself out, it is a risk. You just dry up. We are trees of righteousness; we must remain planted. As long as we are planted, we will keep flourishing like a palm tree. We will keep scaling new heights like the cedar of Lebanon. Stay planted! No one here shall live a miserable life, no one here shall suffer frustration.
