Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke to his members at Covenant Hour of Prayer.
According to Church Gist, he said that every revelation of the truth delivers by the choice to go for it and by going for it. It is a choice that must be accompanied by responsibility or is a balloon choice that may never deliver. “I will go and going is not the same,” he said. Our choice without our corresponding action makes it a balloon choice. It is not knowing the will of God that makes it work, it is knowing and doing the will of God.
Speaking further, he said that our God is a loving Father and he will never demand from us what He has not enabled us to do. There is no commandment of Jesus that is sent forth to buffet us, to afflict us, to be a burden to us. Everything He asks us to do, we are already engraced to do if we choose to. We are engraced to repent if we choose to. We are engraced to give so as to enter into his prosperity agenda if we choose to. We are engraced to go if we choose to.
Finally, he said, “Every branch in me that bears no fruit, I take away. Because I have given every branch the capacity to bear fruit. John 15:1-2. The capacity to bring forth fruit is in me.”
