The cleric has affirmed that of all sins that man could commit in life, sleeping with married women is an automatic ticket to failure in the life of any man. According to the cleric, a man could fall into a series of evil calamities, sponsored by the enemies of mankind—of all these evil that befalls man, they are still an easy situation for anyone to break free from. But, sleeping with another person’s wife, a married woman, could ruin the life of a man entirely.

As shared by Church Gist, the cleric has inferred from the incidence of King David when he went in and had intercourse with Bathsheba who was directly married to one of his soldiers, Uriah. King David descended so low and slept with Bathsheba, thus ruining his position before God. Although, King David was a man after God’s heart: he did exploits, was a sweet music maker that made God glad, but that did not stop the consequences that followed his action. The series of exploits that King David was known for ended after he had intercourse with Bathsheba.

The Bible also implores all believers to flee all appearance of evil. As shared by the cleric, a marriage is a covenant between two people, a man and a woman. A situation where another man comes between the union and have intercourse with the woman in the marriage has automatically breached the marital covenant. It is a great curse that ruins the life of any man who breaks the marital covenant by sleeping with a married woman.
