Bishop David Oyedepo has declared that anybody praying for the wicked is a spiritual dummy. He made this statement during the special prayer meeting he organised today, to seek God’s intervention over the affairs of Nigeria. After the prayers, he preached a sermon he titled, The Mystery of Vengeance.
He explained that God is a God of vengeance according to Romans 12:19, which says;
“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
He revealed that God curses, and we must embrace the two sided nature of God. The two-sided nature of God is the killing side and the creating side, because the Lord killeth and the Lord maketh alive. He also revealed that when God curses, his curses can last for 400 years. Exodus 34:7 says;
“Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”
“Because God curses, curses should ooze out of you towards them because they are thieves,” he said. “Zechariah 5:4 says the curse of the Lord is in the house of a thief. When you see a thief, do you say God bless you? If you do then your head is upside down. These people have stolen money, and they are using the money they stole to cause trouble,” he said.
