The Presiding Pastor of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman said that Christianity is more than a religion. According to him, Christianity is an experience of the power of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, which should be the reality of every child of God in everyday life, and not just a theological topic.
The Cleric referred to some departed men of God whose lives were good examples of how the Holy Spirit works. “There are men in the old days who were Nigerians, men like Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa and Babalola, men who did not just preach about spiritual things but demonstrated it with their lives. Our generation has reduced the power of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to a theological dissertation. Listen to me, God did not give us a religion, it was an experience. It is still is an experience”.
Speaking further, Apostle Selman said what people used as similitudes of the Holy Spirit only seeks to describe the mannerism of the Holy Spirit, but does not encapsulate His personality because the Holy Spirit is God.
