There are rumours that the late singer’s remains do sing the song “Ekwueme” at night. This particular song is the one that brought the singer into the limelight. The National Hospital in Abuja, which is in custody of her remains, has come out to rubbish the claims.
The hospital reacted through their spokesman, Dr. Taiwo Haastrup. The doctor said it’s all about people’s imaginations and that there is no truth in such claims. Dr Taiwo said that it is not possible for someone’s remains in the mortuary to start singing at night.
He said that there was no medical proof to back it up. He called it the imagination of people who love the singer. According to Dr. Taiwo, the imagination could be linked to the church she attended during her lifetime.
He added that the rumours could not be proven in any way. And that someone who is dead is dead. He said the dead can not move or sing while in the mortuary.
