Senior Pastor of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman while preaching in a video on YouTube some hours ago said that some Christians do not receive answers to their prayers because they pray with only their lips, while their mind is contrary to what their mouth is saying.
According to him, when you pray to God, among other things, you should be mentally ready to receive the answer because God’s blessing in a person’s life is limited to the mental capacity of that person.
According to the Cleric from the video, “The law of mental transformation is a very powerful spiritual law. Your life will always be a reflection of your mindset. In 2Kings 4:6, the oil was flowing as long as they were vessels to contain it, but immediately after all the vessels were filled, the oil stops flowing. God wants to lift people but the mindsets of some people cannot carry the answers to the very prayer they are offering to God every day, they do not have the mental capacity to carry the blessings of God”
Explaining further, the Cleric said every time people receive more than what their mindsets and hands could hold, they waste and abuse it. The miracle in Luke 9: 1-17 taught us a lesson. In these Bible verses, the people were hungry and Jesus supernaturally fed them by multiplying five loaves of bread and two fishes.
The multiplication led to wastage because there was no management. They all left, but Jesus instructed them to gather the crumbs, and when they did, it was twelve baskets full of waste. “If u pour water in a cup, the water will be limited to the size of the cup and the rest will be a waste.
So God wants to lift you but your mind cannot hold a certain level of leadership, a certain level of expansion. You may be a pastor who prays to God for growth, but do you have the enlightenment and the transformation to manage what you are praying for?”
The Cleric emphasized that God answers what we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Your mind is a prayer warrior too. When your mouth stops praying, your mind continues the prayer. When your mouth and mind are saying different things, you will not have the answer to that prayers.
“Most times, we do not teach this in the church because it does not seems to sound spiritual, so we downplay it and encourage you to continue praying. The results are people who prayed and studied scriptures without any significant results. They never rise to a notable point of influence and are not represented in anything superior”.
