The Senior Pastor of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman while preaching in a video on YouTube some hours ago said that sometimes the best way for God to bring us to a place of strength and victory is to expose us to our fears so that there is nothing else to fear again.
According to the Cleric from the video, “Have you seen a man who has had an accident and survived? When you shout and say an armed robber is coming he will still be moving and singing praises to God. While everybody is panicking he will say ‘I have seen too much, if it is death, I would have died long ago. They are men who have cheated the devil with their testimonies, they have gone through a lot”.
“While you are going through your fears, do not choke yourself by not expressing your humanity. Sincerely speaking, it is okay to cry. There are times that great men cried, it is not a symbol of weakness. Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus, sometimes He was hungry and needed food to eat. Nothing was embarrassing about the humanity of Jesus Christ.
Job in the Bible defended God even before his wife but as the situation became prolonged his humanity set in and he began to ask God questions. Times can come in our lives when our humanities will probe God and demand explanations. Times can come when you will need to lock in yourself and begin to ask God why bad things are happening in your life and family”.
Speaking further, the Cleric referred to Job 14:7. This Bible verse says if a tree is cut down, there is hope that it will sprout again and grow new branches. “There is hope for your life. No matter what you have lost, God is the reason why you have not lost everything”, Apostle Selman said.
