Those Fond Of Saying Idle Words, This Is What Jesus Says Will Happen On The Last Day – Apostle Emmanuel Makarios Reveals

Apostle Emmanuel Makarios of Christ Nation Embassy sends an important message to his followers on Facebook on the topic “Taking The Name In Vain.” He read the book of Exodus 20:7 which says, “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” He said that although the law is a shadow of the true intent of God’s will for life, Jesus came and dwelt among humans, only to fulfil the law. He expounded on them and made clearance of the grey areas in them.

In Matthew 12:36, Jesus says that one day we will have to give an account of every idle word we have spoken before God. What does this mean? An idle word is defined as; empty, rhetoric, or insincere or exaggerated talk. ‘Do you know that many Christians have made idle words their permanent vocabulary?” he asked and revealed that if every idle word must be accounted for, then taking God’s name in vain, is an issue we must critically analyze.

Finally, he said that because of the greatness of the name of God, any use of God’s name that brings dishonor to Him or on His character is taking His name in vain. One way people take God’s name in vain is by using His name for their own benefit. He said that the name of Jesus when applied, remedies situations. But instead of calling it for response and correcting Satan with it, people abuse the name that makes Heaven, Earth, and the Netherlands pay attention. People fail to reverence the biggest name anyone or anything can do imagine. “Mean what you say and say what you mean,” he said.
