Churches are some of the most majestic buildings in existence. Since the dawn of time, Nigerians have gathered in these buildings for worship, and many of these churches are still existing with several branches in Nigeria and beyond. 10. Redeemed Christian Church of God

The Celestial Church of Christ is an African Initiated Church founded by Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, a former carpenter on the 2nd of September 1947.

Headquartered in Ibadan, Nigerian Baptist Convention was established in Nigeria by British missionaries in 1914. The current senior pastor/ General overseer is Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo Adeniyi Ayokunle. The current membership size is 13,000

4. The Apostolic Church of Nigeria

Established in 1918 The Apostolic Church Nigeria is a Pentecostal Christian denomination in Nigeria, affiliated with the Apostolic Church. Headquartered in Lagos, the church has 4.5 million members.The current senior pastor/ General overseer is Emmanuel Segun Awojide.

3. The African Church

The African Church is an African Instituted Church established in 1901 by Jacob Kehinde Coker. The church came into existence as the result of a disagreement in the Anglican Church between missionaries and a group of African Christians over leadership.

Founded in 1842 by British missionaries, Methodist Church Nigeria is currently a Connexional Episcopal Church headed by Prelate Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche , JP. The membership size is over 2 million full members.

The primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican communion is Nicholas Okoh. The Cathedral Church of St. Peter which is the first church in Nigeria, is located in Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
