Lolo Ebele Chukwu, the wife of the chief priest of Idemmili cultural centre, Agulu recently spoke with BBC Pidgin about her marriage to the Chief priest. She disclosed that she was among the prayer warriors in her church before she got married to her husband. She said a lot of her friends have mocked her because she got married to a chief priest. Lolo has been married to her husband for eight years.
She further explained that some of them laughed at her but at the end of the day she did not regret getting married to her husband. She revealed that the people who were mocking her are now happy because she is doing well.
According to her, she was among the prayer warriors in her church before she got married to her husband. The prayer warrior group in her church is also known as Jericho destroyer. She explained that she used to visit the shrine when her husband told her then that she has been chosen by the gods to become his wife. She said he told her that she has been sent by the gods to take care of him in his old age. Lolo stated that she was confused that time. She later informed her mother but she told her that she would not marry an old man.
She said she told the man that she would think about it because when she was growing up she used to have some night mare where she would dress like a queen. She stated that she also was told that if she did not yield the call of the gods she might run mad. That was why she later agreed to become his wife because of the great call. She revealed that she didn’t regret her actions.
Speaking further, she explained that she has seen some pastors in her husband’s shrine. She stated that they used to come there for power and fortifications.
