According to Pastor Kumuyi, the Behavior That Christians Should Exhibit During Times of Famine, Recession, and Other Difficult Times
At the Tuesday Leadership Development Service, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, talked to his congregation about “The Preservation Of The Righteous In Famine.” He discussed “The Consecration Despite The Famine In The World” in one of his subtopics.
Then he continued,
“Here we are, with pandemics and pestilences on the one hand, and famine, unemployment, and recession on the other.” What should we do next? He studied Romans 8:35, which states, “Who will be able to keep us from Christ’s love? shall suffering, distress, persecution, starvation, hunger, nakedness, danger, or a sword?”
He asserts that some people lose faith in Christ and the Bible simply as a result of hardships and needs in their lives. They look down on the Lord Almighty rather than up to Him. Then, after reading Romans 8:29, he said, “Who will be able to keep us from Christ’s love?” “Shall suffering, distress, persecution, starvation, hunger, nakedness, danger, or a sword?” and claimed that some Christians isolate that scripture, in which he declares that we are more than conquerors in the face of starvation and tribulation. These problems shouldn’t be able to keep us from experiencing God’s love.
So, whatever comes, what goes, what we have and what we lose, we must continue to give ourselves to the Lord. Despite the hardships, such as starvation and recession, we must place our hope in God. Remove fear from your life, and don’t let the media or the news instill fear in you. In the name of Jesus, may God be with us.
