Stories of church members stealing offering money are not new and one of Nigeria’s famous Pastors, Uma Ukpai has narrated what happened to a victim in 1990.
56 minutes into the video, he said the man told him to shut his mouth when he informed him that he will die for stealing the offering. He died as he wanted to escape. Read excerpts of what Uma Ukpai narrated below:
“In 1990, we had a program and a young man was collecting the offering and going home with it. When they told me, I called him and said, ‘do you know you will die tonight?’ He asked who I think I am and told me to shut my mouth. As he turned back to run, he ran into a building iron that cut open his stomach and died”.
