Dr David Yonggi Cho is the Pastor and Co-Founder of the Yoido Full Gospel Church (Assemblies of God) at a time when it was the World largest single auditorium. He has gone to be with the Lord Jesus at the age of 85. He passed on to glory today 14 September 2021.
He is a lover of God who led the revival in the Republic of Korea. A most humble man. A life invested in God; a life fully abandoned at the feet of Christ.
However, Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide revealed what he learnt from Dr Yonggi Cho before his demise. He said:
Don’t turn anybody’s departure to a message. That’s not the problem. Somebody went to Yonggi Cho’s place, he said he wants to talk about Iraq. Yongi Cho said “look people are sick, they’re hungry, they don’t know anything about Iraq. Preach their escape to them”. He said “no the Lord told me to”. Drama took place in that Church. While he was preaching Yongi Cho was interpreting the message. He took up the message that day and the man doesn’t understand Korean so when he saw people clapping he said but you said they won’t like the message, he said they like it.
Sleep on Dr Yonggi Cho, a seed that became a harvest.
