“What Moves God Is Not Just Your Prayer” – Bishop Oyedepo Reveals Why God Doesn’t Answer Some Prayers

The great man of praise and esteem, the general overseer of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo is indeed sent by God to change the lives of many Christians, particularly in Nigeria.

The pious pastor is well known for his tremendous labor in God’s ministry across Nigeria and some other countries entirely. Many Christians have got a changed lifestyle through his words and revelations.

Newly, Bishop Oyedepo has revealed why many true believers of God prayer times without numbers and will not achieve the objects of their requests. The statement was made on his personal official account on the microblogging site, Twitter.

In the post, Bishop David Oyedepo stated that only prayers don’t move God but obeying His commandments. If a Christian wants to have his prayer accepted, then he should make obedience as his first priority before praying for his needs. Moreover, he should let God’s commandments convenient for him with enthusiasm.

The post read;

“What moves God is not JUST your PRAYER but your OBEDIENCE. A lot of people think they can use their prayers as a substitute for obedience. Get EXCITED about the commandments of God! Let everything He says be CONVENIENT for you!”

Following the justification in the post, many of his Church members and nationwide followers reacted accordingly. Some of them ascertained his word and gave him credit while some shed more light on the post.

As I said earlier, many Christians have realized their falls when serving the Almighty God through Bishop Oyedepo. In fact, not only Christians fall into this fault when praying several times to God. Some Muslims also think going to mosques every time will make prayers accepted by God without firstly obeying his jurisprudence. 

Indeed, Bishop Oyedepo’s statement made me remember the quote “obedience is better than sacrifice”.
