What to do If you are not hearing from God, Kenneth Copeland Reveals

Speaking about Christian’s heritage of divine communication and participation in divine will of God for their lives, Apostle Paul wrote in his letters of 1 Corinthians 2 verse 16; “For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”

Having the mind of Christ means that we understand God’s plan in the world to bring glory to himself, restore creation to its original splendor, and provide salvation for sinful mankind. Having the mind of Christ means that we agree with God.

The implication is that we are and should be able to hear from God or have a clear position or opinion God holds on every matter concerning our lives and our immediate environment. Yet we know this is not always the case. There are days and weeks, even months, that we struggle to get a clear picture of what God is saying in a particular situation.

Popular televangelist, Kenneth Copeland offers his wealth of his experience regarding the issue. First, if we are not hearing God about a particular matter, he advises that we are sure it is not because we are clouded by fear or natural thinking.

In other words, God might have spoken or be speaking to us and we might have missed his voice or we may even be just missing it in the present. Second, spiritual hearing faculty can be jammed or blocked by our own fear and thinking that when God speaks, we don’t hear.

In this case, we have drowned the voice of God with our voice and voices of our environment. Third, Kenneth Copeland helps us to understand that we must not box God. Many times, we predetermined how and where he should speak to us. So, if the voice comes in the different form, we may not recognize it. It is not in our place to determine how God should speak.

Ours is to be sensitive and be expectant like Elijah on the Mount whom God instructed to go and wait on the mountain for his voice. 1 Kings 19 verse 11 -18.

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a]a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
