When Your Pastor Is Only Concerned About Your Spiritual Life, Don’t Call Him Your Spiritual Father – Apostle Suleman Reveals Why

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries International, in a Video posted on his official Facebook page, spoke about the difference between a Spiritual father and a pastor.

According to him, not every pastor can be called a spiritual father. He said that when your pastor is only concerned about your spiritual life and not your welfare, don’t call him your spiritual father. They don’t care about your personal life and how you survive so they are just your pastor and not your spiritual father. So you call somebody your spiritual father when you notice that he is involved in your personal life and affair.

Such a father is not just teaching you the word of God but he’s showing you the love of God. Paul was able to call himself the father of Timothy because he was interested in his spiritual life and also in other personal affairs including his health. He told him, “Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities,” 1 Timothy 5:23.
