When your responsibility towards God is personal, your results become possible – Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche

The consensus mind-set is one major killer of destiny. It is a dangerous kind of mind-set because of its tendency to follow the bandwagon. To follow the crowd makes people to be lost in the crowd. If you don’t have a mind of your own, you will follow the mind of others.

Serving God is a matter of personal responsibility. When your responsibility towards God is personal, your results become possible.

In Scriptures, those who made impact with God and in their generation took personal responsibility. David was one of such persons. He took personal responsibilities all the time. For instance, if he had waited to compare himself with his brothers in the matter of looking after their father’s flock, he would have missed the opportunity of being anointed king over Israel (1 Samuel 16:1-13).

David was the eighth son and last born of Jesse but he went out into the wilderness to fight lions and bears while taking care of his father’s flock. Eliab and the rest of his elder brothers were at home idling about. If David had waited at home and decided not to take care of his father’s flock, he may have lost the kingship. All of David’s elder brothers were lazing about at home when Samuel came to anoint a king.

Samuel looked for the person on whose head to pour the anointing and the authority among the elder brothers of David but he couldn’t find anyone. You know, authority follows responsibility.

Then he said to Jesse, “Are these all your children?” And Jesse said, “No. There is one of them, the youngest taking care of my flock”. And Samuel said, “That is the one that has the anointing. Send for him”. And when David came, he was anointed.

Beloved, your responsibility in serving God must be personal so that your results can be made possible.

Remember this: When your responsibility towards God is personal, your results become possible.
