In a video published on the Rhema Channel, Pastor Mildred Okonkwo revealed what went through when she entered into a relationship during her last semester at the University. She stated that during her time, people made it responsibility for students in their final year to be in a relationship. Sadly, she was a victim of this unnecessary pressure.
She dated a Christian man whom she met at a fellowship in the university, they dated for five years and finally introduce their parents to each other since he was about to go to the United Kingdom for his Master’s degree. One morning, she was about to go to school when she felt God’s presence and was led to sing. After singing, she read a passage where Jesus was at a well with a woman and asked her if she had a husband.
When the woman said she didn’t have any, Jesus told her that she was right because the man she is with is not meant for her. Pastor Mildred immediately figured out that the passage was referring to her and after a lot of thought, she ended her relationship with her partner. After meeting Pastor Kingsley, she didn’t have any interest in dating him at first. God then told her he was the one for her, so she went on to marry him despite the little time spent on courtship.
