Fans of the once popular “Kedike” singer Chidinma Ekile who now referred to herself as “Mummy G.O” were so surprised when the popular secular singer took another turn in her life and her music career the day she announced to them that she has given up secular songs because she is now born again and wants to follow Jesus Christ. The reactions that followed were massive, so many of her fans wanted to know the reason behind the sudden change.
According to the gospel artist while addressing members of her Church, her reason for quitting secular songs was because she had an encounter with God, and God told her He has been waiting for her for so long and He is glad she finally answered the call. She also said, the devil has been winning for too long in her life but not anymore, thus she wants to use her talents and all she have to win souls for the Lord, she regretted wasting her time doing secular music and vowed never to return to it.
The gospel singer also added that, she has wasted a lot of time and she must catch up with time because she is moving with time and there is no time.
