General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye spoke today on a message he captured, “Counsellor”. The pastor while teaching on the said topic, drop a bible verse that Christians shouldn’t meet a pastor over financial issues.
He started by explaining who a counsellor is as he said, “A Counsellor is someone who has a lot of knowledge in a particular field and is willing to share that knowledge with others who need it to solve their problems. You should know straightaway that you need counsellors in any field of your life where you may be lacking in some knowledge”.
Pastor E. A. Adeboye: “The Book of Hosea 4:6 says, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee’. This is to say that you need to think thoroughly before you engage a counsellor. You don’t meet a pastor to counsel you when you are facing financial issues; you need an expert in that field to help you out. You are to meet a pastor for spiritual issues. But every counsel you will get most be in line with God’s Word.
