The Senior Pastor of Abel Damina Ministries, Dr. Abel Damina in a video on YouTube minutes ago, told his members to stop confessing their sins. He went further to recommend what they should do each time they sin against God.
Pastor Abel Damina: “The Bible said all have sinned; it didn’t exclude anyone. But have all really sinned? This Bible verse punished me serious those days. I confessed it everyday both the ones I have committed and the ones I have not, Father have mercy on me. What a wicked way to teach somebody relationship with your Father! It is wrong to be confessing your sins to God in prayers. Totally wrong!
“How many of you wants to have a relationship with your wife before she will talk to you, she will have to confess her sins? Honey, I am about to say good morning but before the greeting, I did this last night, I am sorry. If you don’t like it as a human being, how do you think God will feel?
“A husband or wife that apologizes all the time will get his or her partner tired. If you keep apologizing to her all the time; it makes you a coward, it makes you unattractive and it makes you weak before her. The same thing is applicable to God. Your confession makes God wonder if you really know what you are doing or not. Of what value is confessing your sins? You have already done them. Will confession undo them?”.
He concluded by recommending what a Believer should do in place of confession. “When you do something wrong, stand up and remind yourself who you are. Stand up and say no, I am bigger than that, it will never happen again. We don’t confess sin, we confess Christ because Christ is our sin Bearer”, Dr. Abel Damina said.
