Bishop David Oyedepo shared a message for people aspiring to be successful without going through hard work. As published by the church gist, the preacher referred to this generation as wasteful because of their exorbitant spending. He stated that youths nowadays hate starting from the bottom when they want to get to the top and even when they illegally get there, they become wasteful since they don’t have any effort in their success.
The speaker stressed the fact that no one can get to the top without starting from below by giving an example of how he developed and grew the church population from a total of 81 members in 1984 to hundreds of thousands in the year 2022. He revealed that the patience he endured is what many youths are lacking, since they can’t persevere, they go into drugs and computers scams till they are eventually caught.
With the zeal to encourage patience, he illustrated his point with mountain climbers, noting that each of their steps is calculated and it all began from the bottom and not the middle. He also shared past and present pictures of how he patiently built up his church so others could learn from him.
