“Winners Is Not A Church For Rich People; It’s A Church That Makes Poor People Rich” – Oyedepo Says

During the Covenant Hour of Prayer meeting today, Bishop David Oyedepo declared that the church, Winners Chapel, is not a church for rich people, but it’s a church that makes poor people rich.

He remarked that there are numerous testimonies of people who came to Winners Chapel in their lowest point, and how they are multi-millionaires today.

“Most of the time when the rich people come they don’t stay long because they start seeing themselves as God’s uncles,” the Bishop said.

“I know many people that were nothing when they came to this church and now they are multi-millionaires. Winners Chapel is not a church for rich people; it’s a church that makes poor people rich. It is not a church for mighty people; it is a church for weak people, who are made mighty by God. There are no men of timber and caliber in our church; what we have are men and women who are children of God, sold out to serve God,” the Bishop said as the congregation responded with loud applauses.

Why some men of God are blatant failure in their ministerial calling

God commanded us not to show favoritism based on the financial status of people. In the book of James, God clearly showed how displeased he would be if we treat a poor man differently from how we would treat a rich man in the church.

As a member of Winners Chapel, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a situation where certain people were called out to give. Everybody has the chance to give as they are able. Therefore, no favoritism is shown.

What do you think of this statement by the Bishop? If you are a member of Winners Chapel, can you verify the claims I made in the concluding paragraphs? Share your thoughts in the comments. Be blessed.
