WITHOUT THANKSGIVING, YOUR PRAYER IS KNOWN ONLY TO YOU. IT IS WHEN THANKSGIVING GOES, THAT GOD KNOWS ABOUT YOUR PRAYERS.

WHAT SEND IS TO A TEXT MESSAGE IS WHAT THANKS IS TO PRAYER.
WHEN THANKSGIVING IS OFFERED IN PRAYER, THE PRAYER IS SENT UNTO GOD.

UNTIL OUR PRAYERS ARE ENVELOPED IN THANKSGIVING, IT CANNOT RETURN WITH ANSWERS.

THE VOLUME OF WHAT WE OFFER IN PRAYERS IS NOT WHAT WILL DETERMINE THE ANSWERS WE SECURE.
IT IS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OUR THANKSGIVING THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.

AS YOU GIVE THANKS TODAY, WHAT PEOPLE HAVE WRITTEN OFF CONCERNING YOU WILL BE TURNED AROUND FOR A TESTIMONY.

Our Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for the blessing of being in Your presence this morning. Thank You Lord for always hearing us when call upon You. We give You the praise and the glory. For the testimonies of Your mighty hand in our midst, we say thank You. Now, our eyes are on You again, speak to us this morning and let Your Word change our level, thank You mighty God. In Jesus precious name we have prayed.

So shall it be in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our line of exhortation which we commenced yesterday in our Covenant Hour of Prayer is captioned:
THANKSGIVING IS KEY TO THE PRAYER THAT MUST BE ANSWERED
It is important that we are reminded that the purpose of prayer is securing answers. Effective prayer is not in the grammar spoken, effective prayer is not in the effort given, effective grammar is in the answer received
Jeremiah 33:3, Mathew 7:7,8
It means that prayer cannot be said to be effective on the basis of the effort. It cannot be said to be effective on the basis of the volume. It cannot be said to be effective on the basis of the grammar, it can only be said to be effective on the basis of the answer.

So the validation to effective prayer is the manifestation of answers. That being said, we must understand that with God, there are patterns. With God, there are protocols, with God there are processes. The pattern of God for answered prayers demands the engagement of thanksgiving.
Philippians 4:6
Before prayer can receive divine attention, it must be accompanied by human appreciation. Thanksgiving is what secures attention for our prayers. When we look at Jesus in scriptures, we will discover that Jesus gave us very detailed instructions as it concerns prayers.
Matthew 6:9-10, 13
The starting point was thanksgiving, the exit point was thanksgiving.
Psalm 100:4
So to enter, you require thanks. To exit, you require thanksgiving. Thanksgiving, therefore can be said to be the envelope for effective prayers. Until our prayers are enveloped in thanksgiving, it cannot return with answers. The volume of what we offer in prayers is not what will determine the answers we secure. It is the effectiveness of our thanksgiving that makes the difference.
Philippians 4:6
Without thanksgiving, it is you that knows. It is when thanksgiving goes, that God knows. What does that mean? When a person types a text message, the text message is typed on your phone, until you press send, only you knows.

It is after you have pressed send and it goes to the one that you have sent it to that the person knows. If you have been in a situation before where you have written a text message and by one measure or the other, you forgot to press send. The message will be on your phone but it will not arrive at the destination of the one to whom you sent it.
What send is to text is what thanks is to prayer. When thanksgiving is offered in prayer, the prayer is sent unto God. It is at that point that it is made known unto God. So the school of prayer demands our effective engagement of this protocol of thanksgiving.

Jesus did not only teach us by instructions, He also taught us by examples.
John 11:4-6, 40-44
For two days He was praying, but here He was giving the equation that will make what He has been saying answer in Heaven, “I thank thee because thou hast heard me.” While the prayer was going, Lazarus was still decaying but the Bible tells us when thanksgiving went up, He said, “Lazarus, come forth” – John 11:43.
He that was dead – the situation became past tense when thanksgiving was offered.
-I don’t know what situation is still hanging around any department of your life, but as your thanksgiving goes to God today, it will become past tense.
-As your thanksgiving goes to God today, that situation will become past tense.

John 11:44 – They thought by that time, he would be stinking, but the stench disappeared on the basis of thanksgiving.
-There are things people might have thought will be written off concerning you, “It is too late, it is stinking, people think that the case is already closed”, but as you give thanks today, it will be turned around for a testimony.

Isaiah 38:2-5
We also have the example of Hezekiah in scriptures, the sentence of death had come upon Hezekiah. The Bible says, Hezekiah turned to the wall and he prayed. He cried to the Lord in prayers, but in order to secure his answers, he said, “when I saw that the Lord was ready to save me, I will sing my songs” – Isaiah 38:19-20
So thanksgiving is not only in words, but also in songs.

Genuine thanksgiving will always manifest in praise. As he began to sing his song, that which was a sentence of death was overturned on his behalf.
-I don’t know what may look like a negative sentence on any department of your life, but as you glorify God today, it will be turned into a testimony.
