“You Can’t Be Using Anointing Oil In One Hand And Charms In The Other, God Can’t Be Mocked” – Bishop Abioye

I know a couple of people who believe that we should not give up our African traditional beliefs because we are Africans. They believe that it is our identity, and if we give it up, we are conforming to the beliefs of our colonial masters. These people still go to church, and claim to believe in Jesus, but still they hold on tightly to their African traditional beliefs.

Bishop David Abioye has sent a message to people like that; people who “use the anointing oil in one hand, and hold charms in the other”. He told them to remember that God cannot be mocked.
