You Can’t Keep An Appointment With God And Remain The Same – Pastor E.A Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed that one can’t keep an appointment with God and remain the same. The man of God said this while preaching on the message titled “KEEPING AN APPOINTMENT WITH GOD”. He said God can pay a visit to anyone he wants to meet, or instruct him or her to meet with him at a designated place, or the person can fix a meeting with God.

The founder and senior pastor of the redeemed Christian church of God made reference to 2 Kings 4:1-7, which reveals the story of a woman who was destitute and her creditors came to take her sons away because she couldn’t pay the money that her late husband owed them. She, however, ran to meet the prophet Elisha, and God met her needs.

Also, in 2 Kings 4:18-37, was the case of another woman who kept an appointment with God when her only son died, and she went to meet the prophet of God for help. Again, God answered her and raised her child. I believe making or keeping an appointment with God means making a decision to encounter him through his ministers or come to the place of worship (church) and meet with God by faith for help.

The revered man of God also gives two more Biblical examples of those who made up their mind to keep an appointment with God. He mentioned the case of Namaan the Syrian, who was a leper. He also went to meet God’s servant, who, through God, received instructionns on what to do for him to be made whole.

The other person was the woman with the issue of blood who heard about the Lord Jesus and decided to go to him with the intention of touching the helm of his garment, believing that she would be healed if she could do that, and when she acted, God healed her.

He (God) is invisible and only expresses himself through his ministers, whom he sends to represent him and speak his word to people, as well as to meet the spiritual needs of those who need his assistance. The Holy Bible reveals that anyone who wants to come to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently look for him.
