The Presiding Pastor of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman said many people fail in life because they fold their arms and wait for better days to come. He reminded Christians that faith without work is a dead faith, as recorded in James 2:20.
According to the Cleric, many Christians waste the grace of God upon their lives by shutting down divine open doors through spiritual ignorance. “This statement ‘One day, it will be better’ is an illusion many people are living in. To them, it means things will change one day without any effort or contribution on their part. This is a big self-deception”.
The Cleric equally stated that the reason why some Christians do not have breakthroughs after a long period of prayers is that they refuse to work after praying. “After Praying, there is something to do to rise, it may mean going back to school for more certifications, it may mean doing proper strategizing, it may mean being more diligent in your chosen vocation. These are all your participatory efforts to make good the grace of God upon your life”.
Speaking further, the Cleric advises his congregation not to envy successful people because they can never tell the sacrifices behind their success story. He also reminded them of the Biblical story of Esther. “The grace of God to empower Esther for favour was there, but if Esther did not make a move, she would not have been favoured by the King”, Apostle Selman said.
