Christian Convert Murdered in Eastern Uganda
Morning Star News – NAIROBI, Kenya, September 29. 2022 According to reports, a 23-year-old Muslim lady in eastern Uganda who had just converted to Christianity was poisoned to death on September 18.
According to her companion, Namata Habiiba attended a church service on September 18 in Wakawaka village, Bugiri District, and made a profession of faith in Christ.
After attending church with a friend, Habiiba, whose parents were murdered in a car accident in 2019, went home to her Muslim stepmother, who questioned her about her late arrival. The unnamed acquaintance claims that Habiiba’s stepmother, Namu Sauya, cut off all communication with her after she informed her that she had attended a religious service and converted to Christianity.
According to their fasting companion, Sauya cooked and offered them food before leaving the room. Habiiba, according to the acquaintance, began to feel sick to her stomach and vomit within minutes.
According to her, her buddy yelled for Sauya but received no reply. After some time, Habiiba’s companion reported, the neighbors showed up, but Sauya was nowhere to be seen.
According to the friend, they transported Habiiba to a hospital in Bugiri, where a doctor administered treatment; nonetheless, she passed very shortly after. She claimed that rat poison poisoning was the cause of her death after an autopsy was performed.
The locals say that Habiiba has a 3-year-old son or daughter left behind. It was revealed that her father is a married Muslim who intended to make her his second wife.
The resident said that village authorities and residents had denounced the killing and were searching for Sauya, who had disappeared.
On Saturday, September 24th, her remains was placed to rest in Musubi village, next her father’s grave.
