Many have always thought Pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly (now The Citadel Global Community Church) is always at loggerheads with Pastor Enoch Adeboye, his former senior pastor and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,
Pastor Bakare disclosed this in a message preached in the Classic Conference of the church sometime ago where he officially renamed Latter Rain Assembly to The Citadel Global Community Church.
Hear him, “One of the things Pastor E. A. Adeboye did for me that I can never forget in my life was on my wedding day in 1985.
“Pastor Adeboye gave a promise that he would be the one to conduct the joining on my wedding day. The Friday preceding my wedding day, my pastor was still in Europe going about his preaching engagements. I almost thought it was impossible for him to make it to my wedding. But, to my surprise, Pastor Adeboye landed in Nigeria that Saturday morning from London and ordered his driver to take him straight to the church where the wedding was taking place, despite his tiredness of being on the plane for four hours.
” I was so happy he made it to the wedding and did the joining for us. Pastor Adeboye and I may have different opinions but I can never disrespect him.
Many don’t know the kind of relationship I have with Pastor Adeboye. Even though he didn’t want me to leave RCCG where I happened to be the first pastor to start model parish, after I left RCCG, some of my biological children were still living in his house.

“He had special interest in me. No father will want a good son to leave. It wasn’t my plan to leave RCCG, if it was, I would not have built my first house ever inside the Redemption Camp.”
Pastor Tunde Bakare , in the eyes of many, has been described as a controversial pastor. The successful lawyer turned pastor is warming up as a presidential asipirant for 2023 Election, though he has not revealed the political party through which he will fly his asipiration.
