The founder of Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Osayi said that a heavy heart (mind) is a hindrance to effective prayer because it is the heart that connects to God during prayers.
According to the Cleric, if the Devil wants to attack your spiritual life, he will orchestrate situations that will negatively affect your heart so that you cannot pray effectively any longer. “There are times you wake up in the morning and you get overwhelmed by the issues of life, so much that you do not feel like praying, it is an attack on your heart, your mind”, Apostle Arome said.
According to the Cleric, your prayers will amount to nothing if your heart is not involved, if you are not feeling it deep inside you. “If you know that your access to God is a precious thing, there are times people will insult you and you ignore them. If that insult has the potential of tempting your heart, you will know that it is a great price to pay, and so you will let it go”, the Cleric said.
The Cleric equally stated that you should not allow anything to truncate your fellowship with God. According to him, praying in tongues for a long time or listening to high-quality Christian music are some of the ways you can lighten your heart before you go into prayers.
