Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries International lectured to his congregation about the rewards of selflessness.
He related how a paper slipped from Pastor Kumuyi’s hands one day when he was preaching. One of the protocols standing by quickly grabbed up the paper and handed it to him. “Do you know who that man is?” he questioned his audience. When they answered no, he introduced himself and explained that he is a serving military general.
“Those are men who put others before themselves. It’s no surprise they gained so much speed “Suleiman, the Apostle, stated. According to him, another man’s sole responsibility was to energise and encourage the man of God. Every Sunday, he does exactly that. He did say, though, that the man was the owner of the community’s largest commercial bank.
He then chastised individuals who seek acclaim from their pastors for doing something small for the church. He claimed that John Rockefeller visited a city and blessed all of the men of God who lived there. He then urged them all not to write his name or reveal that he was the one who was participating. He acted in a selfless and humble manner. After that, the man of God urged them to be selfless this year because we live in a generation where people are overly self-aware.
