3 lessons from the miracle of the five loaves and two fishes in the bible

We are told in the Bible’ s Gospel of Matthew that Jesus fed 5, 000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish.

In this gospel, we can glean the following lessons:

First And Foremost, Seek God’ s Kingdom

The people’ s eagerness to hear from Jesus is truly encouraging, as seen by the fact that they followed him from one location to another in order to hear from God’ s Word themselves. According to Matthew 6: 33 of the Bible, ” But if you put your hope in God’ s kingdom and his righteousness, you will receive all these things as well. “

For these five thousand men, it was a matter of moving out of their comfort zone to hear the word that would offer them redemption and healing. That wasn’ t the only thing that happened to them when they heard the term. Everything in our lives will fall into place if we focus on Him.

Our spiritual nourishment comes from God’ s word, which nourishes us and empowers us to carry out His plans for our life. After receiving spiritual nourishment and receiving the physical blessing of healing, our physical requirements are also met. ” And my God will satisfy all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, ” the Bible promises in Philippians 4: 19. This text refers to our bodily requirements.

In Matthew 14, Jesus said ” You give them something to eat” (v. 16) to demonstrate this. It was too late for the people to go out and get something to eat, so Jesus’ disciples urged him to send them on their way. In fact, He felt sorry for them and instructed His followers to get them something to eat. This demonstrates Jesus’ desire to provide us with material as well as spiritual blessings. For as long as he can remember, he has always taken care of our every want.

What You Already Have Is All You Require

When the Lord tells us to achieve something big, we tend to focus on our limited resources. When Jesus instructed His disciple to feed them, this is what happened. They responded by asking how they could possibly feed 5, 000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. The only thing they lacked was Jesus’ s desire for it. Crowds didn’ t need much food from him. He relied on their confidence in Him and the small amount of money they had at their disposal.
