Nigerian Pastor and General Overseer of Shekinah Network international, Apostle Philip Cephas during his teaching told his congregation a story of how he does overcome an ulcer by fasting and praying. In a short video from his recent teaching, the pastor said that while he was fasting and praying to get cured of an ulcer, the ‘spirit of ulcer’ jumped out of his body and that was how he was healed. In his own words…
“Eating food will not cure your ulcer, do you realize that? People that have ulcers are sometimes told to keep eating as if eating will cure the ulcer, but it won’t cure it. An ulcer is a spirit, fast and anything you starve will die naturally. When you fast and the ulcer doesn’t see anything to eat, it will die. I had ulcers before and I said I will fast. I don’t know how an ulcer survives but it won’t survive this time around. I fasted and fasted, to the extent that I started coughing out blood. It didn’t take long and a spirit jumped out of my body. That was how I was healed.
