Pastor Charles Osasuwa is trending on Facebook after he made a very contradicting statement regarding the relationship between Christ, landlords and tenants.
According to the founder of Rock of Ages Christian Assembly Inc, “God is a Jealous God and doesn’t approve of his children having other lords besides him”.
He also said that “tenants have landlords which means they are serving another lord and for this reason, it a sin to live in a rented apartment”.
Pastor Charles further told his members that “once they make their first salary, they should start making plans to build their own home”.
Adding that “the home does not have to be extravagant because they do not have to live there forever but it would make them avoid sinning against God by having a landlord”. And any devoted Christian who is a tenant should work towards freeing himself from the second Lord which is the Landlord.
Furthermore, he said “the tenant is always at the mercy of the landlord as the landlord can decide to call the tenant at anytime asking that he/she evacuates because he has other plans”.
The clergyman’s speech did not end there as he had a thing or two to say about Churches who are built on rented grounds. He said, “A church that operates in a rented apartment is also having two lords. This should not be”.
