Bola Tinubu Ask Fashola and Osinbajo to make original land documents for Lalong’s Release – Omatseye
In a post on his Facebook page, popular Nigerian novelist, Sam Omatseye, alleged that when they denied Simon Lalong bail it was the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu that asked Fashola and Osinbajo to make an original land documents for Lalong’s release. He stated that they had denied Lalong bail because the land documents were not original and the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, then governor of Lagos State, had called Fashola, then Chief of staff and Osinbajo, then Attorney General of the of Lagos State to make original land documents for Lalong’s release.
He alleged that they could not resist releasing Lalong because the land documents were signed by the Lagos State Government which made it original. However, Omatseye strongly believes that if Bola Ahmed Tinubu had not processed those documents, Lalong would not have been released.
He said, “It was Tinubu, who came to their rescue. The EFCC had said no bail was working because they said the people who brought land documents had fake evidence. So, it was Asiwaju who invited Fashola and Osinbajo. Osinbajo was the Attorney General of Lagos State. Fashola was the Chief of Staff. He asked them to process land documents, and they did, to bail them out. They could not deny that land documents signed by the Lagos State government were authentic.”
