While preaching about praying in the spirit, the Senior Pastor of Power City International Church, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Abel Damina said born again Christians should not pray the prayers of Daniel and Jabez. His reason was that they were not born of the spirit, and as a result, did not pray in the spirit.
Furthermore, he said their prayers are not meant for this generation of Christians because they are in the Old Testament. He added that those praying in the spirit should not say prayers that are found in the Synoptic Gospels but those found in the Epistles.
