Pastor Kumuyi is the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry. He is the author of several books.
Pastor Kumuyi influenced by John Wesley, Charlse Finney and Charlse Spurgeon. These three great men; John Wesley the founder of Methodist Church Movement, Charlse Finney, an American Presbyterian preacher often referred to as the “Father of Modern Revivalism” and Charlse Spurgeon a well known Baptist preacher, have been said to have laid the foundation for his faith and ministry.
He began a Bible study class with 15 students who had come to him for Bible training. This training became the foundation of Deeper Life Christian Ministry 1982. As of 2005, the Christian Ministry is said to have a member of about 800,000.
He is known always by his white collar dressing (commonly known as suit). Since the beginning of his ministry he has always been on suit not regarding the activity or meeting scheduled. During Sunday’s Worship Service were he preached the ever fresh word of God, Monday Bible Study, he deals with suit thereby teaching the word of God systematically and expository and on Thursday Revival and Evangelism Training, he preached also on suit.
The church was so amazed when he revealed himself on native in a crusade, appointment and meeting.
He is known for the doctrines he teaches, are modelled after Wesley teachings on Finney who believed that full Salvation comes with freedom from sin and famous preaching style on Spurgeon, who was known as “the Prince of preacher”.
