Popular controversial spiritual leader, pastor, Nigerian radio broadcaster and influencer Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze recently reacted after a lady called to tell him that her pastor prayed for popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, who is professionally known as Wizkid, to win the Grammy Award. Recall that Wizkid’s album; Made in Lagos and song; Essence, were nominated the best global music album and best global music performance respectively during the 64th Grammy Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Reacting to the statement from the lady that he claimed called him, Daddy Freeze wrote;
“A Lady called me to tell me that her pastor prayed for Wiz to win the Grammy. Although prayers don’t work like that, it’s a cute way for religion to relate with a generation that struggles to connect with 5 years ago, let alone 2,000 years ago, or what do you think?”.
