Days ago, Daystar Christian Centre said it will not reopen for physical gathering in the church despite announcement by the Lagos State Government that religious centres can reopen from August 9, 2020.

Also, taking to its Instagram page, one of the leading Church in Nigeria, with almost a million attendees every Sunday at its Gbagada branch, Lagos, Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), said it is also studying the situation and waiting for the direction of the Holy Spirit on when to reopen.

Updates on Physical ‘ Church Service Resumption
Following from the Logos state govemment’s announcement allowing churches to open from August 09, 2020.
We are glad because we will have the opportunity to gather in person as we have missed in-person gatherings and can’t wait to have you all back.
Our Pastoral Leadership Team is currently engaged in intensive discussions, prayers and seeking God’s direction about the resumption of our church services.
As soon as we have a SPIRITUAL direction we will be able to announce our resumption date.
Consequently, we will not be open this weekend for in-person Church service.
Our Services will hold as usual online on our social media channels and WozobiaMax station on TV.
Furthermore, we are preparing and testing newly installed medical and safety standards to ensure safe, healthy and conducive service and environment.
