Gospel minister , Dunsin Oyekan reveals in a recent post what is father told him the night he went to be the Lord on phone and what he asked him to do for him.

Dunsin Oyekan who celebrates the life of his father who passed onto glory 8 years ago pen down note to his dad.

In his words, he said: 8 years today: keep resting Dad. It’s obvious I am an extension of your sacrifices, your faithfulness to God and I’m your reward here on earth.

Wish you were here now sha, we would have been twinning to every Outpouring😆 like you always did with me as a boy..I remember the night before you passed, you called me on phone and said you wanted me to pray for you (as a General in the faith that you were, that was strange for me to hear) I summoned courage and prayed, you also wanted me to come that night,

I said I was coming first thing in the morning, not knowing you were passing a code to me. After the phone call, I took a prayer walk, whilst on it, the Holy Spirit said I should look up, I immediately saw the heavens open, I knew the meaning, you were going, I cried from that point till I got back home, before morning, you were gone. Keep Resting G.O as you were fondly called. This your only son misses you so much! Your sacrifice isn’t in vain and won’t be!

I miss Baba as well as he was one of my favourite go-to and role model while growing up in Ilorin. I remember his stature and stance for truth of the gospel under any condition. I LEAVE IT THERE FOR NOW THOUGH SOME MORE TO SAY. I know Baba and love him heartily. Rest on Baba while we work with the loyalty to bear the Cross and the baton of truth handed down to us.
