In a recent revival hour program, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members at the ‘Activating God’s Mighty Arm Through Genuine Repentance.’
However, in John 6 a great multitude followed Jesus because of the miracles that they saw which he did. And when He finished preaching to them, the Bible made us understand that “Many therefore of his disciples when they heard this said, this is a hard saying; who can hear it?” John 6:60. However, because of that many of his disciples went back and work normally with him.
According to the man of God, Jesus Christ did not alter the message and neither did He apologize for what he said. He didn’t call them back, asking them if it was what He said that is making them go away. So why did Jesus Christ not call back the disciples who left? The cleric revealed that he didn’t do that because the word of the Lord is real, His arm is strong and mighty and it can do miracles, on the condition that there is genuine repentance. The ones who left will definitely not be able to receive miracles from him at that time because they are not ready to repent.
Finally, since Jesus did not do that, then we are not going to do that. You’re not going to package the particular message just to please people but you are going to preach the message of true repentance. It is very important.
