Some people are known for always having their way whenever advice is given to them. This has made some of these people run into trouble after neglecting good advice from experienced individuals.
Reverend Biodun Fatoyinbo has shared a story of a lady he advised sometimes ago not to marry a newly ‘born again’ man in the church. The man of God said he got a shocking response from the lady. He also revealed that it didn’t end well with the lady and her man because the marriage didn’t last long before it hit a dead rock.
The founder and senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), stated this when he preached during a Worship Service at the church headquarters.
He advised his congregation to stay true to right and godly counsels irrespective of who gave it to them. Adding that the lady regreted her actions because she failed to heed to godly advice and wise counsel.
According to the excerpt of his message posted by Church Gist on their social media page, Reverend Biodun Fatoyinbo said the story is unforgettable to him because, it came with different lessons to him and opened his eyes more about life.
Sharing the story, the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) said; “I can never forget one lady in this church, we said to her, ‘this man you’re about to marry, just gave his life to Christ, barely a month. Let him grow, do you know what she told us?”
According to the Cleric, he received a shocking response when the lady replied that she is not like Pastors who can tolerate everything done to them. Adding that if the man give her one trouble, she would make sure she return a thousand trouble to him.
In her response, she said; “Pastor Biodun, I am not like you people, if he give me one trouble, I will give him one thousand. We are not looking for perfect situations.”
He further revealed that the marriage ended after two month due to many problem that arose between the lady and her husband.
Pastor Fatoyinbo therefore advised his congregation to always listen to the voice of God whenever they want to embark on any project. He made it clear that God uses His servants to speak to men.
