The Man of God’s who was used by God to establish one of the largest churches that are focused on holiness and righteous living in this present world, is a former University Don of the University of Lagos where he also graduated with a First Class Honours I’m Mathematics. And after God’s call, he started a Bible study in his apartment on the University campus which later grew to became what is known as Deeper Life Bible Church with its Headquarters at Gbagada Lagos, Nigeria.
When Pastor Kumuyi had just established his ministry, he started planting churches all over the nation, ensuring that the Gospel was preached in his own Jerusalem first and when he was done, he proceeded to neighbouring countries in Africa. By God’s grace, he also did a good work over there before God instructed him to go further.
This new task needed a new form of transportation which was to be by air. Therefore, he started taking flights in and out of the Country to other continents where he held crusades bringing thousands of people to God. Through all the period, He never owned a private Jet (He doesnt own a private jet now too) .
But this incidence occurred while he was returning from a conference in one of these African countries, Monrovia in Liberia to Nigeria via Accra, Ghana. According to the a reporter, ” I could recall the story of an incident where the commercial plane he(pastor Kumuyi) was in developed engine failure mid-air. One engine stops working and the other was showing signs it would malfunction too. Everyone were praying and asking for God forgiveness of their sins, he was there calm and untroubled. Then he said: “satan you can’t do anything while I am still here(on the plane)”. Suddenly, the two engines started working again and the crash was averted, according to one of the pastors that went with him on the journey.)
And that was how God delivered him from that disaster. God still does miracles right?
