General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye on the 5th of June 2020 revealed how God used the founder of the RCCG, Reverend Josiah Akindayomi to bring him to fulfil his destiny.
The clergyman made the assertion while preaching during the monthly Holy Ghost Service message titled ‘Let there be light 6’, at the Holy Ghost night.
The clergyman added that he had just spent two years working in the church when Pa Akindayomi ordained him as the pastor.

According to Pastor E.A Adeboye, he said that one of the men who was also ordained with him on the same day had already spent 15 years before Pa Akindayomi ordained him as pastor breaking all protocols for him.
While revealing this, He said;
“Some people do say it’s very easy to become a pastor in RCCG, that after 6 months of service, you would be ordained a pastor. Let them come and see how easy it is to be ordained as pastor”.
“You will see how long it will take you to go from being a worker to being a deacon, then to being an assistant pastor before being ordained as a pastor” He added.
