Banjo Omole, a deacon in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, was interviewed by Alexander Okere and he revealed that if Christians don’t get into politics, unbelievers and idol worshippers will take control.
According to deacon Banjo Omole, it is good for Christians to be sound in politics, and one could be a good Christian and still be a good politician. He added that to be a good politician, a Christian must have the strength to pray so the Spirit of God can show them the way in whatever they do.
He further said that most people always say politics is murky and difficult, but even in the ministry (church), we go through difficult times. Life is just like that; people can not run away from it. Christians are encouraged to participate in politics. Even Daniel in the Bible was called to participate, and he was a leader. So, we should not run away from it, but we have to be prayerful and live a holy life.
Lastly, he said that if Christians don’t get into politics, the unbelievers and idol worshippers will take control, and there is nothing wr can do about that.
