As Christians, the bible is a book we look up to for guidance and read to draw inspirations from the life of Jesus and other men of God. Bringing us to the fact that Nigeria as a country is blessed with strong and powerful men of God, and these men of God, some of them have spiritual fathers that anointed them to carry on with the teaching and spreading of the gospel.
Just like Elisha whose spiritual father was Elijah. And before God took Elijah away, he asked Elisha in 2 kings 2:9, what do you want me to do for you? And Elisha answered by telling him; Let me receive the share of your power, that will make me your successor. Then Elijah answered him in verse 10, that it is a difficult question, but you will receive it if you see me being taken away, but if you don’t you won’t receive it.
Elisha later saw when Elijah was taken up and he exclaimed by saying, my father my father you are gone. Elisha became a strong and power Prophet after his spiritual father anointed him and left his powers for him.
So just like Elijah and Elisha, below are the spiritual fathers of these power men of God.
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, his spiritual father is Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who ordained him into full-time ministry. Oyedepo, has so much respect and appreciate, pastor Adeboye.
Pastor Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministry, is the spiritual son and mentee of Pastor Adeboye.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG (Redeem Christian Church Of God), his spiritual father is Late Reverend (Pa) Josiah Akindayomi, the founder and first general overseer of what is today known as the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Pastor Paul Enenche, is the founder of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and his spiritual father is Bishop David Oyedepo. And he also made it known that his spiritual grandfather is pastor Adeboye.
